Country Court is a private care home registered for 34 elderly residents.
We can also provide a limited number of day-care placements which includes meals
and any in-house entertainment as per itineray. Day care can be used on a regular
basis or as a 'one-off' and is an ideal opportunity for prospective residents
to get a taste of life at Country Court Care Home in Hull, or our sister home
Durham Care Homes. Country Court is recognised as a holder of the Social Services
Quality Development Scheme (QDS).
We care about the residents' quality of life and dignity, and encourage them to be responsible for their own actions as far as is possible. They are treated as individuals and privacy is respected. We actively encourage residents to participate in various activities.
The Care Home was purpose-built in 1995 to exacting standards and provides
superior accommodation, all comprising of ground-floor single rooms, some with
en-suite W.C's.
There is a spacious television lounge with adjoining dining room, conservatory and a quiet lounge.
We are able to care for individuals with varying illnesses/disabilities and
provide the following special needs facilities: wheelchair access throughout
the home and grounds, specialised 'Parker' premier tilt bath, bath with motorised
bath lifting aid, portable hoist and various moving and handling aids to ensure
the safety and comfort of both residents and staff.
The
home is situated within its own grounds, the main garden being the inner courtyard
with tables and seating.
Local amenities are numerous and include nearby shopping facilities and easily available leisure and social pursuits.
Country Court, with its well trained staff (who for complete peace of mind are on duty 24 hours per day) aims to provide a friendly home from home atmosphere with the minimum amount of rules.
Staff are selected not only for their professional skills and qualifications but because they have a genuine interest in the welfare of others and are able to relate to older people. Care staff are encouraged to study and obtain National Vocational Qualifications. This training not only gives our staff the best opportunity to fulfil ambitions but also gives our residents the reassurance that they are receiving the best possible care.
Kitchen staff prepare a varied menu and special diets are catered for. The
cook will record your likes/dislikes on admission. The Heartbeat Award (for nutritional
and healthy eating) is pending.
